Elissa Sursara
Born in 1988 and made famous just four years later amongst her fellow Brazilians and the South American region as a child print model, Sursara found herself becoming the Brazilian answer to Jessica Alba appearing on and off television throughout her childhood and growing up under the Brazilian spotlight. Listed as one of the region's most recognizable faces amongst Supermodels Gisele Bundchen and Adriana Lima by the year 2003, Sursara had finally broke the mould when she transitioned to film under the duress of American casting directors some years before, impressed by the 5 foot 3's beauty, talent and early successes.
With notable guest appearances in American Gothic, Touched by an Angel, Brothers & Sisters and Boston Public to name a few, Sursara jumped head first into film with her first high-budget role in 2006's Live Free or Die alongside fashion icon Zooey Deschanel, gaining her resume credibility and a slowly climbing American fan base. Sursara followed with guest spots in a number of US television programs and lucrative appearances in The Screening and Pain Within.
Securing the interest of entertainments high rollers, the global public begun to develop an interest in the Brazilian import, with gossip circles focusing attention on her personal and romantic life.
With romantic links to Ami James, Jared Najjar, Fredrik Ljungberg and footballer Ben Cousins and publicized friendships with actresses Camilla Belle, Natalie Portman and Isabel Lucas as well as family friendships with the Legder (Heath Ledger) and Irwin (Steve, Terri, Bindi Irwin) families, Sursara had maintained her glossy image, sought after talent and media interest since infancy and as described as possibly the next big IT girl, it doesn't look like the screen goddess is going anywhere but up.
