Taylor Dooley's first step on her path to stardom began when she was selected The Cutest Baby in a contest in her home state of Michigan when she was just one year old. Her second step was the modeling contract she was awarded as a part of the contest prize. When she was five, Taylor and her parents moved to Arizona, where she studied dance and acting, continued modeling, and when she was nine joined the Phoenix Theater's Performance Troop. With the theater group, Taylor's unique personality and dramatic and comedic dexterity were quickly discovered by audiences in and around Phoenix.
With her hard work and dedication, it didn't take long for commercial producers in Arizona's neighboring state of California to also discover Taylor's exceptional aptitude and special flair. A national commercial for Famous Footwear was followed by one for Disney Superstar Kids, then a magazine cover and feature article for Discovery Girl's magazine and print ads for Mary Kate and Ashley clothing line and Honda's Odyssey minivan.
Along with her acting career, she has still found time to pursue her other multiple interests in music, reading, camping, computers, and school cheerleading. Taylor is also quite comfortable on a horse, on a softball field, on hiking paths, in swimming pools, as well as rollerblading, roller skating and ice skating.
