Hussein Fahmy, born in 1940 in Cairo, Egypt. He is the brother of actor Mustafa Fahmy.
A leading movie star and the first UNDP Goodwill Ambassador for the Arab States in 1998 and since then has worked hard to convey to his audience in the Middle East important human development messages.
He worked in film and TV for 40 years, specializing in film directing and appearing in more than 100 movies, on TV and in the threatre.
Was also appointed the president of the Cairo Movie Festival.
