With credits such as In Living Color, Dream On and Friends, it's easy to see why Kevin S. Bright has gained recognition as one of TV's most talented producers. This year, Bright, along with Scott Silveri & Shana Goldberg-Meehan, brings us the highly anticipated spin-off to Friends, Joey, based on Matt LeBlanc's much-adored character of Joey Tribbiani.

A native New Yorker, Bright has been exposed to show business all of his life. His father, Jackie Bright, was a vaudeville comedian and later became president of the American Guild of Variety Artists. Bright decided to pursue a career in the entertainment industry after completing his first year of college as a history and philosophy major. After graduating magna cum laude from Emerson College, he began his career in New York with the Joseph Cates Company, where he produced variety specials starring George Burns, Johnny Cash, David Copperfield and Dolly Parton.

Following a move to Los Angeles in 1982, Bright turned his focus to comedy programming and produced the CableACE Award-winning series The History of White People in America, as well as comedy specials starring Robin Williams, Martin Mull, Harry Shearer, Paul Shaffer and Merrill Markoe. In 1989, Bright received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series as supervising producer on the hit show In Living Color. In that same year, Bright began his relationship with Marta Kauffman and David Crane as executive producers of the popular cable series Dream On, which won a 1992 CableACE Award for Best Comedy Series. In 1990, he also served as executive producer of The Ron Reagan Show.

In 1993, Bright entered a partnership with Kauffman and Crane to form Bright/Kauffman/Crane- Productions and began a development deal with Warner Bros. Television, where the trio produced the hit comedy series Friends. Friends received 55 Emmy Award nominations, including six for Outstanding Comedy Series, which the show won in 2002. The cast won a Screen Actors Guild Award in 1996 for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series and was nominated five times (1996, 1997, 1998, 2002, 2003) for a Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy. Friends won the People's Choice Award for Favorite New Comedy Series in its first season and won five more times as Favorite Television Comedy Series.

In addition to his work as producer, Bright also directed over 50 episodes of Friends, including each yearÍs season finale.

Bright lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Claudia, and their twin sons, Justin and Zachary.
