| by the scab from your stupidity do not buy this book. i bought this book because i have no money and wanted to know more about the little stories that existed in Sids life and this book was rather cheap. However it is more of a 'wannabe-70's-artist' (who reminded me much of Mclaren) jibbering away about how 'oo yes Sid planned on dying young because it is such an artist form of communicating to the world oo yes this is the exact moment in time that he decided to be a practical artist and use himself as the sculpture to which he will mould and show the world!' ok those are not quotes of anykind but its basically wot this guy is goin on about. Along with that cock-and-bull idea he phrases the entire book in such a way that proves difficult to understand on first glance. It's just of this movement-lover babbling on about how its artsy to die at 21 just like hendrix and other and he even writes up a little list comparing the conditions/features between Sid and other young dead musicians. This guy really doesnt have a clue does he? I'd say this book is a waste of time and has one of the most ridiculous ideas that sid train-wrecked his life and died all for the sake of art (Nancy barely even gets a mention to his death in this). Do tell me what you all think. Do you agree; Sid acted for art? Or Do you disagree; Writer Mark Paytress is an idiot? I know my veiw - how about you? Comment on this... | ||||

Forse per la tua vita;forse perchè sei andato via così presto;forse per la contraddizione che emerge dalle tue foto: alcune in cui ti atteggi da "vizioso", altre in cui sorridi così candidamente; orse per la storia con nancy, che se togliamo il finale tragico appare talmente romanzesca... Non lo so, fatto sta che sei un mito, per me e per tanti.. In fondo eri così semplice, rappresenti tanti di noi che vorrebbero qualcosa,ma non sanno cosa,non sanno che fare nel futuro,e rischierebbero senza prudenza alcuna pur di provare emozioni,o di non provarle.. Te ne fregavi, te ne fregavi sempre, laddove tutti si preoccupano, Tu ti sei messo totalmente in gioco... ma è stato un gioco così cattivo.. questo non mi va giù, questo finale incomprensibile, eri soltanto un ragazzino, ingoiato in una trappola graziosa e ben congegnata, ti ci sei tuffato,senza pensare, per cercarci la felicità, ma era una trappola schifosa, e non ha avuto pieta per te.. non è giusto.. spero comunque che tu e nancy siate felici lassù adesso,non so se state insieme,l'importante è che vada tutto bene.. adesso siete eterni, perchè morendo avete ammazzato la morte.. rip Sid the best Comment on this... |

But if you are free from sin shoot the first stone; anyone of us can be a total idiot one time in life, we are humans.No matter if he killed Nancy or not; now that's absolutely irrelevant since they both are dead. The important thing about John Simon Ritchie Beverly o whaterever was his name , is that he was able to pass over the border of names being someone: Sid Vicious - instead of being anybody. Someone that left a big signature of his life in the scenary of the world...And no matter in which way he lived his life or how much he hurt himself; the important thing is that he lived one and that he would never be forget because he become a Myth - and Myths never die.
