classic rodney at his best!

What can be said, Rodney is Rodney and that's enough to get you belly laughing. The troup of superstar comics before they were famous is just an extra bonus in this gut splitting show. The performance of these great comics in the early years is really great and you'll enjoy seeing them as they grew into the superstars the are today.One laugh after another in this hour long comedy fest. Funny, but not the whole HBO show!

I've been searching for YEARS for this HBO comedy special from 1986. I thought this was it... and it is, but only PART of it. Bob Nelson's football routine from 1986 was the funniest comedy ever. IT'S NOT ON HERE. Only the Jiffy Jeff boxing part is included. It's still funny, but it's not the football routine. Also, the Sam Kinneson part is funny but it's not the one I was looking for either. I'm pretty bummed. February 14, 2008

More of Rodney needed

It was interesting to see the talent that Rodney found. Besides being great himself, he also tried helping aspiring comedians. Rodney went to my public school and lived in Kew Gardens, Queens and I know he strugged hard for a long time until he became famous. I wish that the DVD had a bit more of Rodney and shorter pieces of the others. September 21, 2007

Classic Rodney

If you are a Rodney fan - this should be part of your library. Rodney was in his prime in the 80's - and this is a fun and rare look back when he was in top form.
