See my review for the earlier film. Both should be seen together; it raises the humor level!

KVC is an ok film but like any other VS movie the battle between the two creatures is small if existant at all. Alien V Predator, Boa V Python. all had short head to head action and a lot of un-needed story.

Synopsis.
A Group of scientists are contracted by the government to find a way to increase Crop Production on a islated Island. They are very succesful, unfourtinatly they originaly tested on Komodo Dragons and king Cobras. and they have also grow Huge. They Quickly eat main of the science team and send the rest running for cover. Meanwhile a animal rights activist is planning to crash the party and expose the supposed animal testing and cruilty taking place on the island. what he and his friends and boatman find are Man-Eating, Giant Lizards and a Cobras. Now they must fight to survive and escape the island before the Government bombs the island into non-existance.

The film had a potentialey good plot but never used it. The CG is very dated and the acting is less than satisfactory. But if you love those cheap saturday night pop-corn movies than this wont disappoint.

I recently picked up a copy of KOMODO VS. COBRA at my local video store and was pleasantly surprised to discover that Glori-Anne Gilbert was in the cast. But I was disappointed that she never took her top off (that's gotta be a first!) and astounded when she got slurped by a giant Komodo Dragon! What an icky fate for such a lovely lady!

Any way, the movie is not very good. The acting, the CGI, and story are only average. Still I gave it 3 stars because of Glori-Anne's appearance and Michael Pare's 60 shooter. At one point, I counted up to sixty shots that he had fired from that hand gun of his without reloading....and he was still firing when I lost count! Amazing! Does anybody know where I can get one of those things?

rating: 5 Quotenot a graphich as the pyhton triology but still goodQuote
This movie is supposed to be somewhat of a sequel to curse of the Komudo according to other reviews I read about it. Most of the people gave it real bad the most they gave was a 3. These people aparently did not grow up watching all the classic by movies especially al the Anaconda rips of. Why thise movie might not be as graphic as the R rated snake movies such as boa versuss pyhton it still has a decent action seuqence thenomial acting. More guns going of than at the battle of Gettysburg. This movie has some mild creature violence people getting eatten getting crused to death occasional stuff like that. As a result this movie might not be appropriate or may be questionable to kids under the age of thirteen depending on what there parent or guardians think is appropriate for some one there age. there is one midly gore part with leeches and a komdo blowing up aftert it swallows a gernade there is barely any gore in this movie. If you like this I also recommend you see the python movies. For those of you that saw lake placid a movie studio has shoot a sequel to lake placid called lake placid 2 which will air this saturday at 9:00 PM Florida time and and get done around 11:00 PM florida times scifi channel has alot more commerical break compared to that of cartoon network and other chanels and scifi channels commerical breaks tend to be very length usually about 4 to 6 minutes per break and they have on average about once every ten to 20 minutes. Those you that are interested rent this at blockbuster and watch lake placid 2 this Saturday evening on Scifi channel. A word of advice if buy this dvd used don not buy it in new mint or like mint conditon or new conditon get in like new condition if possibloe because if its in better condition than like new it can be pricy it can cost about $22 to $40 for one copy of this if it has been taken care of well enough and the person does not know what a resonable selling price for its is or is trying to get more money than what it's worth. Well, first off, it's pretty obvious that the marketers for this less than good film thought that they could capitalize on the success of Alien vs. Predator. With the "snazzy" KVC on the disc. I hate to tell them, but the film is mis-named as it is. It's really a bunch of bad actors vs. bad CGI of a komodo dragon and a cobra. Who wins, who loses? Well, the viewer loses. That's for sure.

The aforementioned bad actors run around, alternately going after the monsters and running for their lives. They shoot countless bullets, including maybe 30 or so from a 15-round magazine gun...this happens more than once. I can't really complain about that, though. We see inaccuracies like that all the time.

Anyway, overall a pretty bad movie. Only a few interesting scenes. And I believe Michael Pare was asleep for most of the filming. February 9, 2007
