Bottom line? If you have pre-teen, female relatives, soccer players that are into sports romance, or know anyone who is into chick-flick comedy, this will make a good edition to their movie collection. December 26, 2008

This movie is about a girl named Viola who is upset that she is not able to play for the boy soccer team (the school closes the girls soccer team). She pretends to be her brother Sebastian and dresses up as him and plays on the boys soccer team. A funny romantic relationship between her and Channing Tatum's character develop and I especially liked the part where Viola tells him he is hot as a boy.

The relationship between Viola and Tatum's character really start to warm as the movie progress and then later hits a wall when his character thinks she is trying to steal Olivia (played by Laura Ramsey) away from him. Things start to get really tricky here and it is just a matter of time before her act is revealed in front of a stadium of people. This is because her brother Sebastian returns from London early and plays on the Soccer team. It was funny when she flashes the whole stadium her breasts just to show that she is female and then her brother Sebastian flashes his manhood. That part really cracked me up, but fortunately no actual nudity is shown so it is only PG-13. When the romance between Olivia and Tatum's character suceed at the end it really warmed my heart. Hopefully there will be a sequel to this movie; a She's The Man 2!

If you enjoy this movie then you will really like Soccer Mom played by Missi Pyle and Emily Osmont. That is a movie similiar to She's the Man and talks about a mom who disguises herself as a famous Italian soccer star just to convince the girls he will really coach them. Very similiar in many ways! Amanda Bynes is a terrific actress and this movie is filled with laughs. A girl wants to play soccer. so in her brother's absence she dresses like him and goes to his school. of course, changing back from girl to boy at a carnival is hilarious. November 3, 2008

I gave one star ONLY because there was nothing lower. Never received the item but my credit card was charged the day after the order was placed. After seeing so many complaints about this vendor, it makes you wonder if they even have the product. October 13, 2008

To be honest, I only saw this movie because it was on TV. I had wanted to watch it earlier, but figured it would be a waste of time because I have seen these kind of gender reversal movies before. Yet I was pleasantly surprised that it was actually better than I thought and quite enjoyable.
Amanda Bynes was pretty good in this (except when she played the male role, she had this stupid Jack Black type voice going on that only he does well) as a really good soccer player who's school coach won't allow girls on his team. To proove how good she is at the sport, she plays the role of her brother (who's secretly headed off to London) and becomes roomates with Duke who she starts to fall for despite him falling for some girl who likes her/him.
Anyway, you have to at least give this a shot. It's more than I expected and I did find myself enjoying it and laughing through a lot of parts - there are some great scenes. I think people of any age will like this as it's light hearted and fun. July 27, 2008
