Charlie's Angels - Season 3 (1976)

Hit & Miss - Still 5 Stars!

If you are a fan of Charlie's Angels, this set is a must so just place it in your cart right now and proceed to checkout. I'm going to try to keep this review to the point and do my best to give you my honest opinion about what I noticed during the time I was watching Season three.

For me, Season three really had its ups and downs. When an episode was good, it was typically very good. When one was bad, I often wondered why they even took the time to shoot it. Long time Angel writer Edward J. Lasko wrote ten of the Season three episodes and it was quite obvious that he was getting a bit burned out. He did an outstanding job with "Angels in Vegas," and "Angel On My Mind," (a personal favorite) but how he could have followed up with scripts like "Angels On Vacation," and "Marathon Angels" is beyond me.

There were other writers in Season three, however, they were hit and miss also. Big Hits: "Counterfeit Angels," "Angels In Springtime," and
"Winning Is For Losers," Big Misses: "Pom-Pom Angels," "Haunted Angels" and "Angels Ahoy." ("Ahoy" did contain a rather unexpected twist at the end.)

Bottom Line: If you are a Charlie's Angels fan you are not going to mind watching the episodes that are somewhat lacking. As for the better ones, you will absolutely love them. It's almost as if our "three little girls" knew when they had winning scripts and really worked hard to do them justice.

Excellent collection

This collection is downright awesome. The original Angels at their best,...including that sweet loveable Kelly Garrett. Highly recommend this for any true Angel fan. Cheryl is just as awesome,and Kate is
great,too. Still have yet to finish watching this collection,but what I have seen so far it is great,...a MUST for all Angel fans. These collections I have will be watched over and over. I have Season Two,but have yet to start watching it(want to finish Season One first). December 15, 2008

Okay

The third season of Charlie's Angels picks up where the second one left off, only with better writing. Cheryl Ladd hits a better stride and the guest spots by Farrah are definitely high points of the season. August 26, 2008

MPI Home Video's Angels

Sony Pictures, selling Charlie's Angels to MPI Home Video would be a perfect idea for the fans, who have waited 6 years to collect all 5 Seasons of the series on DVD. Please do not say no to my suggestion. MPI Home Video will be willing to re-release the first 3 seasons, and release the 2 remaining seasons with no problems.
